Photoshop practice/Annotation practice

Here i had to edit this photo of a woman swimming into the a background of a road

before

I found this task a bit tricky to make it look realistic but overall i don't think i did too bad, next time i would spend more time on blending the water ripple effect around the woman onto the road background

Guardians of the galaxy 2 poster:

Here, using photoshop i had to rearrange a previously jumbled up version of the Guardians 2 poster, this task went quite well in my opinion, it took a few minutes for me to get used to the tools but once i had i picked up the pace quite nicely and am quite pleased with the result.

Annotation practice
For this task we had to annotate various film posters on photoshop, showcasing the differences and similarities in the layouts:
In the poster for Hot fuzz the two main characters are in the centre of the poster, however Simon Peggs character is shown to be more-so in the foreground than Nick frosts character., this highlights to the view that Simon Peggs character is to be of more importance to the film than Nick Frosts.
In this poster the title is placed in the centre of the poster as it fits with the action theme of the poster and ties nicely with the explosion scene in the background.
For Dracula, unlike the Hot Fuzz poster everything is placed in quite a vertical order, replicating the figure of the statue/ figure in the background of the poster, this creates an unnerving feeling to the viewer emphasising that something mysterious occurs, and therefore entices the viewer to watch the film.
Here the title is presented towards the bottom of the poster

The imitation game posters positioning of the main character is a close up headshot, this is often used to create a tension and interest towards the viewer, similarly this poster is also set in a vertical order, with the main characters face being the focus point of the poster.
Similar to the Dracula poster the title is also presented towards the bottom of the poster, allowing the head shot to centralised.
